Nainital Zoo

As it is situated at an altitude of 2100 meters, this zoo is also known as the altitude zoo. This is the oldest zoo in Uttarakhand.

As of 1 June 1995, the zoo was opened to the public in Nainital. It was built in 1984 on the Sher ka Danda mountain in the Tallital area of Nainital. A Bengal Tiger, Tibetan Wolf, Himalayan Black Bear, Japanese Langur, Mountain Pheasant, Barking Deer, Leopard, and Plains Vulture can be seen in this zoo. It is open from 10:00 a.m. Until 4:30 p.m.

Raj Bhavan

Originally constructed in the British era in Nainital, Uttarakhand, the Raj Bhavan has been designed in the Victorian style. This building is home to 113 rooms, which have been designed in a unique manner. In this Raj Bhavan, there is also a garden, where a variety of flowers can be found.

This Raj Bhavan was built between 1897 and 1900 and features a swimming pool, golf field, and oak tree. The Raj Bhavan was also known as Governor’s House during the British period, since the governor and other guests used to stay here during the summer season.

Mall road

The Mall Road in Nainital is also a popular market, where many tourists visit. This route has many shops, malls, restaurants, etc., all of which are very beautiful.

In Pangot, tourists can go trekking, enjoy camping and see different types of birds. The village is located 15 kms from Nainital, where tourists can feel great in the serene environment of nature.
